The Faculty Council re-elected Prof. Regine Gerike as Dean of the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences. With her election, she continues her previous term of office and will continue to lead and represent the faculty in its transformation. “I would like to express my sincere thanks for the trust you have placed in me and look forward to continuing to work with you” said the dean.  We would like to congratulate Prof. Gerike on her re-election and wish her continued success and pleasure in her role as Dean.

Prof. Ostap Okhrin, Chair of Econometrics and Statistics, esp. in the Transport Sector, was elected as the new Vice-Dean. We congratulate him on his election and wish him all the best for the coming term of office. Prof. Okhrin succeeds Prof. Georg Hirte, who made a significant contribution to the further development of the faculty as Vice-Dean. Prof. Gerike thanked him warmly for his commitment and wished him every success for his future research projects at the Chair of Economics, esp. Transport Policy and Spatial Economics.

The Faculty Board also elected new Deans of Studies. Prof. Oliver Michler, Chair of Transport Systems Information Technology, and Prof. Jörn Schönberger, Chair of Transport Services and Logistics, were confirmed in office for a further three years. We would like to thank the Deans of Studies for their for their previous commitment and wish them continued success in the performance of their functions.
