This week, we welcome two transportation scientists from Mohamed Bougara University in Boumerdès, Algeria, to our faculty.

Dr. Hakim Siguerdjidjene and Dr. Amin Houari conduct research in the field of rail transport at the Faculty of Engineering at M'Hamed Bougara University in Boumerdès, Algeria.

During their visit, the two scientists – who specialize in railway engineering, transportation technology, materials science, and structural dynamics – presented their diverse research activities and emphasized their keen interest in long-term cooperation, particularly in the areas of rail transport, infrastructure development, composite materials, simulation, automation, and cultural and scientific exchange.

During the discussions, numerous starting points for joint projects became apparent: from exchange programs for students and researchers to joint workshops and summer schools to cooperation in the field of research. The delegation particularly emphasized Algeria's great need for expertise in the field of modern rail transport systems – and the potential for developing joint solutions in this area.

We are delighted about the inspiring exchange and look forward to the next steps in a possible collaboration!
