Welcome to the “Friedrich List” Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences!

For the winter semester 2024/2025, we welcome around 300 first-semester students to the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences in the degree programs Transport Engineering (Diploma), Transport Economics (Bachelor), Railway System Engineering (Master), Electrical Transportation Systems (Master), Transportation Economics (Master) and Air Transport and Logistics (Master). The Dean of the Faculty, Professor Regine Gerike, warmly welcomed the new students at a central introductory event and encouraged them to network and to look at transportation together and from a variety of perspectives.

I would like to invite you to design, shape and change transportation systems together and take responsibility for the mobility of tomorrow.

Prof.in Regine Gerike, Dekanin

All new students were given welcome bags with information material and snap hooks by the Fachschaftsrat FSR, which students could use to symbolically connect with each other.

The faculty's Learning-Teaching-Agreement was also signed during the welcome ceremony.

Learning-Teaching-Agreement of the Faculty

The Learning-Teaching-Agreement of the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences is an agreement on quality assurance in teaching. It sets out key objectives and requirements for teaching. As a catalog of values, the agreement is a central component of the faculty culture and creates transparency and commitment as a foundation for joint work.

Teaching is a joint task for teachers and students. They have always been implicitly committed to a working alliance - both contribute to the desired learning process.

Prof. Jörn Schönberger, Dean of Studies

With the agreement, teachers and students commit themselves to jointly and respectfully carry out teaching and learning processes at the faculty.

Program for the first semester week
