Experiencing research: On June 20, the faculty once again opened its doors to science enthusiasts and provided a wide range of insights into current research projects in transport and traffic sciences.
“The night that makes you smarter” - under this motto, the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences once again opened its doors to a curious public for this year's Long Night and presented a wide-ranging program.
From 5 p.m. until late into the night, the faculty offered numerous laboratory tours, lectures and hands-on activities that once again showed how diverse, relevant to everyday life and future-oriented transportation sciences can be. Whether it was a visit to the railway operation laboratory, a look behind the scenes of the vehicle test center or a test flight in the A320 research simulator - visitors were able to experience transport research up close and try their hand at being a young scientist.
In addition to tours of the laboratories, visitors were also able to gain insights into current research topics such as applications for automated mobility, artificial intelligence in traffic jam research and sustainable mobility concepts.
A big thank you to everyone involved.
Many thanks to all the scientists, employees, students and technical and organizational supporters of the faculty who made this night possible and brought it to life.
We are already looking forward to the next Long Night of Science on June 26, 2026 and to once again arousing curiosity, showcasing future research and celebrating transport science together!
