Chair of Vehicle Mechatronics
The 2nd Saxon Public Transport Symposium will take place on 21 and 22 June in Leipzig. The focus will be on the expansion of public transport, including networking with other modes of transport for sustainable mobility.
The networking of vehicles with each other as well as with the operating and transport infrastructure, the automation of driving operations, the electrification of the drive as well as solutions in the sense of multimodal, user-oriented mobility concepts are the technological objectives in the focus of vehicle developers, municipalities and transport companies.
The aim of the 2nd Saxon Public Transport Symposium is the continuation of the positive dialog on the mobility of the future from the point of view of vehicle and traffic technology, operational and social aspects within the framework of in-depth
presentations and discussions. The following key issues will be addressed:
- What sensory equipment is required for the different levels of automation? How is approval and acceptance of the vehicle, route and infrastructure carried out?
- How can the timetable reliability and energy efficiency of public transport and, at the same time, the overall traffic quality be improved through optimized control and networking?
- How can an assessment of the electrification feasibility of the line network and an optimal design of vehicles, charging infrastructure and charging management be made?
- How can a continuation of multimodal offers contribute to the achievement of climate protection targets and reclaim public spaces for other types of use?
