Prof. Jochen Trinckauf gave his last lecture at the end of January. He thus retired after 24 years at TU Dresden.

In his last regular lecture at TU Dresden on 31 January 2022, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jochen Trinckauf looked back on several decades of teaching experience and summarised the subject matter of the field. Thanks to a large lecture hall, almost 100 students and guests were able to attend in attendance, observing the current hygiene regulations. However, the virtual crowd was even bigger: 125 participants followed the lecture online.

Prof. Trinckauf has been head of the Chair of Railway Signalling and Transport Safety Technology at the "Friedrich List" Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences at TU Dresden since 1998. Most recently, he was a senior professor there. He will continue to remain in academia by supervising doctoral students. A farewell colloquium is planned for autumn 2022.
