University elections
The university elections at TU Dresden will take place from December 10 to 12, 2024. University members are invited to cast their vote.
Important decisions on research, teaching and studies are made in the TUD's committees. Academic self-administration and the associated commitment offer the opportunity to help shape the TUD Dresden University of Technology - especially in this election year. 428 positions in academic self-administration will be newly filled.
All approx. 40,000 eligible TUD members - both students and employees - are called to vote this year. For example, the employees of the Central University Administration only elect their representatives to the Senate and the Extended Senate every five years. As members of our university, make use of your right to vote and have your say! Academic self-administration and the associated commitment offer you the opportunity to help shape TU Dresden - especially in this election year.
University elections 2024 will be held for:
- all voting members of the Senate,
- all voting members of the Extended Senate,
- all members of the Faculty Councils,
- all members of the Divisional Councils,
- all members of the Scientific Councils of the CMCB and IHI Zittau and
- the 28 Equal Opportunities Officers of the faculties, departments and institutions and their deputies.

Voting at the Gerhart-Potthoff-Bau polling station
- Employees/university lecturers: December 10 and 11, 2024,
9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. each day in POT 158 - Students: December 10-11, 2024, 10:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and December 12, 2024, 10:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. in the foyer POT/12
