In a research project of the Chair of Automobile Engineering, methods for the validation of new driving functions are being further developed and the interchangeability and transferability of the results between the methods are being investigated.

As part of the EMISA research project, the Chair of Automobile Engineering at the "Friedrich List" Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences is conducting a driving simulator study. In the project, various methods (driver behaviour and trajectory simulation, driving simulation) for validating new driving functions are being further developed on the basis of exemplary inner-city driving scenarios and driving functions with varying degrees of automation. As a second focus of the project, the interchangeability and transferability of the results between the methods (simulation, driving simulation and real driving/test track driving) will be investigated. In the driving simulator study, findings are to be obtained on the driving and viewing behaviour in different inner-city scenarios and different highly automated driving functions.

Taking into account the current Corona situation, the study is expected to be carried out from 12 April to 11 June 2021 at Nickerner Weg 8, 01257 Dresden on the driving simulator of the Chair of Automobile Engineering. The test will last approx. 1 hour and the dates will be allocated flexibly. Participants will receive 15€ in cash as an expense allowance.

All information on the study can be found on the website of the Chair of Automobile Engineering (only in German).
